Terms of use
Effective October 2026
Great Lakes Wills & Estate is the trade name under which Truckey Nofsinger, LLP, a Michigan law firm, offers online estate planning. By using this website you agree to these terms.
No attorney-client relationship until we accept your matter
Creating an account or answering the questionnaire does not make us your lawyers. An attorney-client relationship begins only when you accept our engagement agreement, pay, and the reviewing attorney accepts your matter after a conflict check. Until then, don’t send us anything you would not want disclosed.
Limited-scope service
When we accept your matter, our services are limited to those described in the engagement agreement you accept at checkout, which governs our relationship and fees. If the engagement agreement and these terms conflict, the engagement agreement controls.
Who may use this service
This service is for adults 18 and older whose permanent home is in Michigan and who are planning for themselves (or, for couples, for themselves and their spouse). Answers suggesting the service is not a good fit lead to a consultation offer instead of a flat-fee plan.
Your responsibilities
- Give complete and accurate answers, and tell us if anything changes.
- Use your own email address and account, and don’t share your sign-in codes.
- Sign your documents exactly as the signing instructions describe. Documents not signed properly may not be valid.
General information is not legal advice
Explanations, calculators, and other content on this website are general information about Michigan law. They are not legal advice for your situation, which you receive only through an accepted engagement.
The website itself
We work to keep the website available and accurate but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. These terms do not limit our professional responsibilities to clients for legal services.
Content
The website’s text, design, and document templates belong to Truckey Nofsinger, LLP. Documents prepared for you are yours to use for your own estate plan.
Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. The reviewing attorney is licensed in Michigan.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in effect when you use the website applies. Michigan law governs these terms.
